They arrived at 8:00 PM, exactly on schedule. By phone with the Expedition Office, Kohno said, "It was so far. We arrived at 2000. The wave height was about 3 meters with whitecaps. It was cloudy and a strong wind was blowing from the southwest. It was not hot. We rowed more than 90 km today."

"The kayak was being carried off-course toward Kodakara Island. Then we adjusted our course to arrive at Tokara Island. We feel 'done in' by the hard voyage. But we are okay".

"We saw the bottom of the cruiser at offshore. I felt what I can do when that cruiser will overturned. Of course we can not rescue them by kayak".

"We ate rice cake (onigiri), oranges, inari-sushi, sausages with water. I ate an apple after arrival. Yoneda ate bread."

"It's dark now. Tonight we will camp at the fishing port where we arrived. Exhausted. It's difficult to put up the tent. If we regain our strength we will leave to Kodakara Island, tomorrow." (It is 15km distance between Tokara and Kodakara)
