Kaname Sakurai Finishes 7th!

Kaname Sakurai has now completed RAAM 1996 (right, DC-1). His time is 39 hours 22 minutes shorter than last year's. He says "I'm happy because I could run to finish, again..." then lost words and tears came into his eyes as he rolled up his cut finish-line tape(DC-2). On the stage, his exhausted face has a smile when, at long last, he get his finisher's medal the organizer. (above, DC-2).

He is the first person to finish the RAAM from Asia.
Sakurai did his best to exceed his limit. He trained one year to enable him to push past his limit. The Race Across AMerica is one of the world's toughest bicycle races. Sakurai, 32 years old, has conquered a significant goal in life.
